I am final year student of B.tech civil engineering, i can apply Assistant Engineer post?

This is very much evident while pursuing your final year education that you constantly think about expecting to fit in any job prospect once you are done with your degree. This further leads you in looking for what possible options you have as of now or may have in the near future. Also, as far as my experience is concerned I have observed that students with a good academic record in past semesters tend to drive their thoughts in finding the best opportunities for which they further follow daily newspapers for fresh openings as well as preparing hard for the campus recruitments.

Now as an answer to your question, of course, you can apply for the post of Asst. Engineer. For the same, here are few things that are must to have a look into:

  1. Profile of the company you are planning to apply for
  2. Are your skills in sync with the requirements of the company?
  3. Location of the company (based on individual requirements)
  4. To what extent the offered nature of the work matches your expectations?
  5. What are you interested in road work, building work, irrigation work, etc.?

After you have the answers to the above questions, then one must follow the underlined points that need to be provided with in the application:

  1. Mention the trade you are studying in.
  2. Provide the scores of the past semesters.
  3. Mention your expertise.
  4. State your expectations if prompted.

Below are the things that one needs to prepare before sitting for an interview for Asst. Engineer:
